Motorized Welding Positioners

The Positioners is having a motorized rotation. It is provided with a faceplate (rotating table). The rotation speed is variable using A. C. VFD to suit job diameter and welding speed. A Self-centering chuck can be provided for holding/clamping the job. A Spring-loaded Earthing arrangement also provides for faceplate rotation.

The drive arrangement consists of A. C. Motor as a prime mover & further speed reduction is done by a Heli-worm gearbox. The o/p shaft of the gearbox is coupled to an encoder for position feedback. After completion of every rotation, a signal is provided to the PLC, which in turn sends the signal to the vertical slide to adjust the torch up / down OR Forward Reverse. For Heavy Deposition Strip Cladding is also done with Heavy Duty Positioner or Rotator along with Column and Boom.

Pipe and Flange Overlay/Cladding Machines: Weld overlay is a welding process where one or more metals with specific characteristics are applied to a base metal to improve desirable properties or to restore the original dimension of the component. Weld overlay may also be referred to as cladding, hard facing, weld cladding, or weld overlay cladding. This process is proven to significantly enhance the service life of new components. It can also be used to refurbish and upgrade components that have already been in service.
